Welcome to DISTINCTION FOCUS SAFARIS. By booking a safari, tour, or related services with us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully, as they outline the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of both parties.

General Information

  • DISTINCTION FOCUS SAFARIS is a safari and tour operator specializing in luxury safaris across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

  • All bookings made with us are subject to these Terms and Conditions.

  • By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

Booking and Payment

  • A deposit (percentage or fixed amount as communicated at the time of booking) is required to secure your safari.

  • The balance must be paid before the commencement of the safari, as per the payment schedule provided.

  • Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other accepted methods.

  • All prices are quoted in USD (unless otherwise stated) and are subject to change due to currency fluctuations, park fees, or government levies.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellation requests must be made in writing (via email).

  • Cancellation charges apply as follows (unless otherwise stated in your specific booking confirmation):

    • 60+ days before departure: Deposit only.

    • 30–59 days before departure: 50% of total cost.

    • 0–29 days before departure: 100% of total cost (no refund).

  • Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 30 working days.

Changes by the Client

  • Requests to amend travel dates, itineraries, or accommodations will be accommodated where possible.

  • Any additional costs resulting from such changes are the responsibility of the client.

Changes by DISTINCTION FOCUS SAFARIS

  • We reserve the right to alter or cancel itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, park regulations, airline schedule changes, or safety concerns.

  • In such cases, we will offer an alternative of equal or greater value, or a refund where appropriate.

Travel Documents and Insurance

  • Clients are responsible for obtaining valid passports, visas, vaccinations, and health certificates required for travel.

  • Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical, cancellation, delay, and baggage loss is mandatory.

Safari Participation and Responsibility

  • Participation in activities (e.g., game drives, trekking, cultural visits) is at the client’s own risk.

  • DISTINCTION FOCUS SAFARIS, its employees, and partners are not liable for injury, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused by third parties, wildlife encounters, or natural events beyond our control.

  • Clients are expected to respect wildlife, local communities, and cultural traditions at all times.

Accommodation and Transport

  • Accommodation is provided as per the itinerary (luxury lodges, tented camps, or hotels).

  • Vehicle type (4×4 safari vehicle, minivan, etc.) depends on the safari booked. We ensure safe, reliable, and well-maintained transport at all times.

Force Majeure

DISTINCTION FOCUS SAFARIS is not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, political unrest, epidemics, strikes, or government restrictions.

Liability Disclaimer

  • While every effort is made to ensure safety and satisfaction, participation in a safari involves inherent risks.

  • DISTINCTION FOCUS SAFARIS cannot be held liable for personal injury, illness, death, or loss/damage of property during the safari.

Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya.

  • Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
